Congratulations to the 2017 Women of the World Luncheon honorees!!!

The Calvert County Minority Business Alliance (CCMBA) honoree is Lisa Sanders, Esq. of Sanders and Sanders Legal. Lisa is a charter member of CCMBA as well as an extremely active member of the community. Lisa has conducted workshops for CCMBA on topics such as “Conduct your Legal Check Up” and “Estate Planning 101”. Lisa also mentors youth who are interested in experiencing a real world career opportunity. We would also like to thank Lisa for serving on the WOW planning committee on behalf of CCMBA.

Gayle Reid of Reid and Reid, (Bus Transportation Services) Inc. was awarded the Calvert County Commission for Women’s 2017 Business Leader award. Gayle is the Board chair of CCMBA. As Board Chair and Board member, Gayle has provided countless hours serving and representing CCMBA and other businesses in the community. Gayle and her husband Vaughn are also members of the Calvert Bus Contractors Association. Gayle serves as the chairperson of the Huntingtown Charge United Methodist Women, lay leader for Plum Point United Methodist Church, and mentors and supports many youth in the community. Reid and Reid, Inc. also donates monetary and bus transportation sponsorships.

CCMBA also congratulates the other honorees including the youth awardees. We would also like to thank Chris Banks and Inez Claggett (CCMBA Secretary and Treasurer) who served as the Co-Chair member of the WOW luncheon. Inez is the chair of the Calvert Commission for Women and Chris is a board member of the Calvert League of Women Voters as well as President of the Calvert Historical Society.
