Job Summary:
Our established light construction and supplier firm is growing its clientele, and we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our team of professionals. We are looking for a candidate that will work remotely, and will assist us per project when necessary. This candidate will be required to provide quantities needed for each scope below by viewing the Architectural drawings which will be provided along with model numbers and any information needed to assure job is completed to our satisfactory. 7-10 projects within the scope below will be covered monthly. A 48 hour turn around will be necessary. An invoice will need to be submitted to receive payment once project is completed. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in construction project estimating, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. This person must be able to meet the deadlines provided, follow project specifications and any relevant confidentiality rules provided.
Projects will focus on 4 main scopes:
- Appliances
- Bathroom Accessories
- Kitchen Cabinets
- Painting
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Review and provide quantities for requested materials
- Ensure timely completion of take-offs
- Understand scope of work to bid
- 1-2 years’ experience in construction estimating
- High School Diploma, College a plus
- Must be able to read architectural plans
- Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction processes
- Work effectively and perform well with minimal supervision
- Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
- Impeccable problem-solving skills and pay strong attention to detail
