Meet Alisa Daniels-McLeish the Founder and Executive Director of Blossoming Butterfly Warriors Inc., a grassroots non- profit that provides assistance and services to communities of color that have been diagnosed with chronic illness and autoimmune disease in the DMV area. Through many grants for transportation, co-pay assistance, healthy eating and prescription assistance, we will empower and advocate for all autoimmune states. We provide virtual support groups and organize as well as participate in community events.
Alisa has over 25 years of experience in the federal government and over 15 years of serving in some capacity in the Public Health field. She is an experienced Victim Advocate and Public Speaker for HEAL Collaborative and Proximity Health Solutions. The daily work in my organization focuses on community outreach, education to patients, and a weekly podcast on Envision Radio. She has a passion for a passion for inclusivity, ending health disparities and inequities for people of color. “This is an epidemic that must be addressed now!
