Dear Chamber Members,
The Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED), is reaching out to you to request your assistance. As you are aware, Maryland’s regulatory structure has come under scrutiny and is characterized as overly burdensome. This factor has contributed negatively to Maryland’s business climate. DBED understands that in order to help make Maryland be as competitive as possible and to minimize the obstacles to ensure all businesses are successful, this factor needs to be addressed. As Governor Hogan has emphasized, and in the spirit of being Open for Business, DBED is interested in your input on Maryland’s regulations.
We are hoping you would be willing to share with us the following:
- Which regulations burden businesses
- Which agency administers the regulation
- What is the specific burden to businesses
- How does the regulation impact businesses in your jurisdiction
PLEASE SEND ALL RESPONSES TO bburian@charlescountychamber.org by Friday, 2/27.
Thank you for your assistance. Together, we will make Maryland truly “Open for Business”!
Sincerely,
Betsy Burian
