This has been a very good weekend. Again, Happy Mother’s Day to the Moms. We are sure everyone’s businesses who service Mother’s Day were very successful.
We had an awesome day on Saturday, May 9 at the Small Business in a BIG Way Community Festival.This was the wrap up event for Calvert County’s Business Appreciation Week hosted by the Calvert County Commissioners and Calvert Department of Economic Development. Thank you to all the Vendors and Community Resource Providers .
Thank you to JT’s Kitchen and their staff for hosting the event, Cutty’s Rock and Ribs and Barstow Acres Children’s Center for the children activities and games, Andre Jones and Greg Booze for the wonderful music, Elite Martial Arts for providing the martial arts demo, all our junior helpers, and the community for coming out to support the day. We had a great time. The weather was perfect, the music was phenomenal, and the food and fellowship were great. This one is a keeper!!! The Calvert County Minority Business Alliance is going into its 10th year – so stay tuned for the plans for our 10 year events and activities. June 17 will be CCMBA’s Membership Annual Meeting. We look forward showing appreciation to our members and seeing all the new members who are ready to join and add to our organization. Elections also will be held and we know we will have an awesome group of businesses that will lead the organization into its next 10 years. The best is yet to come.
