The Calvert County Government will hold a presentation on preparation for the July 2017 budget. During the presentation, county department leaders and staff will offer an opportunity for individual residents and groups to present their interests on how and where money should be spent.
According to the website, “The goals of the Town Hall meeting are to explain how the operating and capital budget is developed and to seek citizen input on both as the next budget cycle begins. Staff will also gather feedback that helps county government personnel understand and better respond to citizen’s needs. This is not a public hearing, nor is it a Calvert County Board of County Commissioners meeting, although it is endorsed by the board.”
