SBDC Winter/Spring Schedule 2017

The “Legal” session scheduled for Thu, February 23rd, will be facilitated by David Martinez, an attorney with the Jenkins Law Firm in La Plata. Insights and tips about starting businesses, businesses with multiple owners, ongoing business legalities, etc. David has extensive background with a wide array of local businesses and also has handled many presentations to the Charles County Liquor Board related to liquor licenses. David has facilitated this session for the So MD SBDC for the past several years. David has also assisted numerous SBDC Clients.

The “Records Management” session scheduled for Thu, March 2nd, will be facilitated by Tiffany Davis, owner of Washington Accounting Services Inc. in Waldorf. First hand insights about basic financial info, taxes, filings – and the importance of keeping proper financial records. Tiffany has facilitated this session for the So MD SBDC for the past several years. Her firm also provides services to several SBDC Clients.http://www.csmd.edu/sbdc

This training session helps develop an awareness for the “entrepreneur” of various considerations for “Are You Ready To Start A Business?” Learn more about the SBDC and its’ services, the business plan, finance management, funding sources, marketing…a guide to beginning a successful future in a business world. “Ready, Set, Go!” is for you if you have a great business idea, but aren’t sure if you are ready to start your own business. This workshop gives ideas, suggestions and resources to decide if business ownership is right for you.
