As many of you may know, CBW lost our Co-Founder Annette Funn earlier this month and while we will still host our annual fundraiser for scholarships- this year will also feature a special tribute to honor her life and service along with the Annette J. Funn Co-Founder Community Service Award. This will be a special event that should not be missed.
This year the event will be held on October 8th at the Rod ‘n Reel in Chesapeake Beach and we wanted to provide you with the opportunity to continue your support of Calvert County youth with an ad in our souvenir journal, or if you would like to submit a memorial ad for Mrs. Annette Funn.
The journal booklet will be provided to a guest list of 150 attendees, so your ad will be well viewed. The Patron Page is a $5 donation to have your name or your business/organization name listed. All proceeds from the Salute to Excellence Scholarship Fundraiser are used to provide scholarships for 4 students (one per public high school) within the Calvert County Public schools and your support last year allowed CBW to provide $1500 to each student. Our goal for this year is to provide $2000 for each student. To date our fundraising efforts have provided over $53,000 in scholarship funds to Calvert County students.
I have also attached another form if your business/organization would like to sponsor for the event. Sponsors company logos are added to the prominent back page of the journal and are added to the CBW website and our social media sites.
We also seeking donations for our silent auction and/or door prizes so if you have an item that could be donated to our organization please let me know. All individuals/organizations that provide CBW with donations will be recognized within the souvenir journal as well.
If you would like to submit an ad this year please send the artwork to cbwjournalad@gmail.com or we can utilize your .jpg from last year if you would like. Also if you or any one you know would like to attend this year’s event please return the attached ticket form and come to see just how great this event really is for yourself. All ads need to be received no later than September 25th.
