Do you know how you will pay for your child’s college degree? Parents and students in all grades in high school, and even middle school, are encouraged to attend this free workshop to learn about the financial aid process, what is a FAFSA, where to find scholarships, and other helpful information on how to finance a collgee education. The presentation begins promptly at 6:30pm in the school’s Auditorium. SoMD CAN College Access Network is a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the college going rate of high school graduates in Southern Maryland

This workshop literally helps families fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from start to finish line by line. Topics to be covered are which parent should fill out the FAFSA in cases of divorce or separation, what assets should be reported, how does a person apply for a PIN, and what does the Department of Education and colleges do with this information.
